So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Abstract
This chapter includes information on the challenges of legacy systems, legacy access control systems, interfacing multiple access control systems from differing manufacturers into a single comprehensive system, legacy video systems, and legacy intercom systems. The chapter closes with a section on emerging technologies.
Emerging technologies include local access control system controllers at each door, digital light field cameras, advancements in digital signal processing cameras, extreme low light color video cameras and advanced video analytics.
