There is a wide range of factors which can influence the demand for tourism. These factors are normally to be found within the tourist-generating countries. However, there are also pull factors which are often based on tourism attractiveness and are determined within the tourism-receiving country. In this chapter we consider the factors which can influence and direct demand.
