Every programmer should know the basic data structures and their performance and memory characteristics. A good book to dive deeper into this topic is Data Structures and Algorithms in Java by Robert LaFore (Sams Publishing, 2002). The Stream API doesn’t have many methods, but like SQL, the possible combinations are vast. Practice is the name of the game. But be careful! If an expression is no longer readable, simplify it, for example, by using classic loops. For practice, try to create separate tasks for each method of the Stream API.
