It is too early to tell if this is simply another false turn on the way to properly solving software engineering or a major step in the right direction. In this chapter we've explored a few patterns which may be of use should you embark upon a journey into the microservices world. Because we're only on the cusp of microservices becoming mainstream, it is likely that, more than any other chapter of this book, the patterns here will quickly become dated and found to be suboptimal. Remaining vigilant with regard to developments and being aware of the bigger picture when you're developing is highly advisable.
