Cracking Cisco login using custom wordlist

In this recipe we will see how we to gain access to Cisco devices, we will be using tools available in Kali. We will be using a tool called as CAT to perform the activity. CAT stands for Cisco audit tool. It is a Perl script which scans Cisco routers for common vulnerabilities.

Getting ready

For this exercise we have setup a Cisco device with a simple password to demonstrate the activity. We do not require any external tools as everything is available in Kali itself.
