So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Das Tier auf dem Cover von »Kubernetes Patterns« ist eine Kolbenente (Netta rufina). Auf Latein bedeutet rufina »rothaarig«. Sie gehört zum Tribus der Tauchenten. Die Kolbenente ist in den Sümpfen Europas und Zentralasiens verbreitet. Man findet sie aber auch in den entsprechenden Gebieten Nordafrikas und in Südasien.
Kolbenenten werden 30 bis 45 cm groß und wiegen voll ausgewachsen bis zu 1500 g. Ihre Flügelspannweite beträgt nahezu 90 cm. Weibchen haben unterschiedlich braune Federn mit einem hellen Gesicht und sie sind weniger farbenfroh als die Männchen. Letztere haben einen roten Schnabel, einen rotbraunen Kopf, Brust und Schwanz sind schwarz und die Seiten weiß.
Die Kolbenente frisst vor allem Wurzeln, Samen und Wasserpflanzen. ...
