General coaching considerations of importance are confidentiality, resistance, power and authority, and role conflict, but not all leader coaches are experienced in these areas.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a complex issue for leader coaches because they don't have the luxury of defining their relationship with coachees as solely developmental. Leader coaches occupy a unique position from which they gain a view of the coachee that is more comprehensive than the one afforded an external coach.
