The leadership challenges and developmental needs mentioned by international women managers turned out to be fairly consistent with those cited by women managers in the United States (see the table on page 17). There were, however, some marked disparities, notably in the areas of acceptance as a leader and strategic agility. Here's a look at the leadership challenges and developmental needs identified by the survey participants (ranked in order of how frequently they were mentioned by the international managers), along with the implications of the findings and some recommendations for those in organizations who are responsible for developing women leaders.
