A data mining book without artificial neural network is not complete. By its name, we can tell that artificial neural network mimics the architecture and biological process of human neurons. In our brain, millions of neurons work together to generate corresponding outputs from various inputs. This conceptual understanding is taken to develop artificial neural network method, though how neurons work together biologically still needs much research to elucidate.
