So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 14. Futures Slang and Terminology
Outsiders might think that the futures industry has created its own language. Many of the terms brokers and traders use take a new meaning from their origin, and becoming familiar with the slang can prevent costly miscommunications. After all, even self-directed online traders will need to communicate with their brokerage firm from time to time regarding their account. Some of the terminology covered in this chapter has been covered already, but when it comes to building a foundation of trading knowledge, it is important to seal any cracks. I believe that these are worth a second look.
