So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Starting, stopping, and restarting the Nginx server
Now that we have your Nginx server up, let's see some commands we can use to manage Nginx. Just like Jenkins, we will use the systemctl command to manage Nginx:
- To stop Nginx, use the following command:
sudo systemctl stop nginx
- To start Nginx when it is stopped, use the following command:
sudo systemctl start nginx
- To restart Nginx, use the following command:
sudo systemctl restart nginx
- To reload Nginx after making configuration changes, use the following command:
sudo systemctl reload nginx
