I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing the latest stable version of Jenkins
If you prefer to install a stable version of Jenkins, then follow these steps:
- Add the Jenkins repository to the yum repository using the following command:
sudo wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/jenkins.repo \ http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/redhat-stable/jenkins.repo sudo rpm --import https://jenkins-ci.org/redhat/jenkins-ci.org.key
- Install Jenkins using the following command:
sudo yum install jenkins
- See the Starting, stopping, and restarting Jenkins on Red Hat Linux section if you are required to start Jenkins.
