So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Ionic Native
Now that we have the lay of the land on how to work with Cordova plugins, we will scaffold a new project and work with integrating Cordova plugins with our Ionic app.
Ionic provides us a simple wrapper to work with Cordova plugins in a TypeScript fashion. Until all the plugins adopt the ES6/TS approach, we will need a way to work with these plugins inside our Ionic app.
Enter Ionic Native. Ionic Native is an ES6/TypeScript implementation of today's ES5 Cordova plugins, so you can import the plugins you need and use them in TypeScript. The Ionic team has done a great job in making the plugins available to us in the form of TypeScript bindings.
