Snow Leopard Server (also known as Mac OS X Server 10.6) is the seventh major version from Apple. Unlike Microsoft, which releases the Windows user version before the server version, Apple develops user and server versions at the same time. Snow Leopard Server looks like the copy of Snow Leopard running on users' Macs. And Mac OS X Server runs on Apple hardware, of course — it runs on any Mac that Apple makes today, as well as some older models. Snow Leopard Server can be used at home, in a small business, or by a department in a large business.
