8 ISO 8000-61 PROCESSES
Chapter 6 provided a brief summary of each process in ISO 8000-61 and Chapter 7 then illustrated how they could be implemented in an organisation in a progressive way. Building on those foundations, this chapter explains each of the 20 lower-level processes in detail.
We have already seen how to group the 20 processes in ISO 8000-61 by five capability levels (see Figure 8.1).
DATA PROCESSING
Data processing is the one process that forms Capability Level 1.
The purpose of data processing is to satisfy the information needs of identified processes operated by an identified set of users (either internal or external to the organisation performing the data processing).
