I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Keyboard shortcuts
Here's a list of some of the best (or most appropriate) keyboard shortcuts for the tools mentioned in this chapter:
- Create a new document: File | New | Blank Document
- Zoom in: Ctrl/Cmd + "+".
- Zoom out: Ctrl/Cmd + "-".
- Fit image to page: Ctrl/Cmd + 0 (zero).
- Grid, (repeat to remove it): (Ctrl/Cmd + ').
- Show and hide the Guides: (Ctrl/Cmd + ;).
- Use this to temporarily hide the selection line of marching ants (repeat to show it): Ctrl/Cmd + H.
- Puts any object on a layer into Transform (resize) mode: Ctrl/Cmd + T.
- Hold the Shift key down while drawing with the Elliptical tools, Rectangular tools, or any of the Custom Shapes to lock the proportions.
