Bringing Typography to Life with Effects and Styling
Type effects can range from a simple drop shadow to help text stand out against a busy background to complex combinations that create effects resembling molten lava. When applied correctly, effects can keep the original type layers editable. In this chapter, you’ll explore various effects and workflows that can vivify your designs.
We’ll start by slicing editable type using smart objects and layer masks. Then, we’ll create paper effects, such as embossing and 3D cut-outs.
