When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Competition
The first edition of Mastering Kubernetes was published in May 2017. The competitive landscape of Kubernetes was very different then. Here is what I wrote back then:
"Kubernetes operates in one of the hottest technology areas of container orchestration. The future of Kubernetes must be considered as part of the whole market. As you will see, some of the possible competitors may also be partners that promote both their own offering as well as Kubernetes (or at least, Kubernetes can run on their platform)."
In less than a year, the situation has changed drastically. In short, Kubernetes won. All the cloud providers offer managed Kubernetes services. IBM provides support for Kubernetes on bare metal clusters. Companies that develop ...
