Summary

We covered a lot of ground in this chapter, and we saw some really cool stuff. We began by looking at a couple of antivirus scanners so that we can prevent infecting any Windows machines that access our Linux servers. In the Rootkit Hunter section, we saw how to scan for those nasty rootkits. It's important to know how to audit systems, especially in high-security environments, and we saw how to do that. Finally, we wrapped things up with a discussion of hardening our systems with OpenSCAP.

In the next chapter, we'll look at vulnerability scanning and intrusion detection. I'll see you there.
