I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding how GiST works
To many people, GiST is still a black box. Therefore, I have decided to add a section to this section outlining how GiST works internally.
Consider the following diagram:

Take a look at the tree. You will see that R1 and R2 are on top. R1 and R2 are the bounding boxes containing everything else. R3, R4, and R5 are contained by R1.
