Summary
In this chapter, we have explored some of the fundamental building blocks in application development. We started out by building an Express server that was capable of serving our Angular application, and then explored how we can set and use configuration variables and server logging to build a production-ready Express server. We then explored the use of Brackets and Emmet to help in the rapid design of mockup web pages.
The bulk of this chapter, however, has focused on authentication. We explored the use of Angular routing and Auth Guards to define a secure section of the application that is only available to logged-in users of the system.
