I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Substring
The Substring method selects part of a string. Substring can select everything after a specific index:
$myString = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz' $myString.Substring(20) # Start at index 20. Returns 'uvwxyz'
Substring can also select a specific number of characters from a starting point:
$myString = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz' $myString.Substring(3, 4) # Start at index 3, get 4 characters.
The index starts at 0, counting from the beginning of the string.
