Remote Access
Giving employees the ability to remotely access corporate resources used to be a big benefit to most companies, but not necessarily a requirement. That mindset has changed significantly over the past few years, as many of us now work from home full-time following the COVID-19 pandemic. Most companies and employees now expect to get their work done from wherever they happen to be. Cell phones are a big part of this equation but are limited by the scope of what can be done with small screens and restricted operating systems. To grant remote workers the ability to do their jobs from home, coffee shops, or hotels, we have traditionally used Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
