It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Drawing inset plots
While aligning relevant plots side by side, we also have the option to embed a smaller plot in the main figure to visualize data of a different scope. Typically, we use the main figure to give an overall idea of our major message and support it with other perspectives or zoom into a focus via minor figures.
