1The Right to Information Bill, 2005, as introduced by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pension, was passed by the Lok Sabha on 11th May, 2005 and by the Rajya Sabha on 12th May, 2005 and it received the assent of the President of India on 15th June 2005. It was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, No. 25, Part II, Section I, dated 21st June 2005.
