Copilot is still new technology. Although we’ve had chatbots for many years, it wasn’t until the release of OpenAI’s GPT-3 LLM and ChatGPT that they could do much of anything outside of giving preprogrammed responses to preselected questions.
Now that AI chatbots can convincingly communicate as fluently as humans, we’ve gained a lot in terms of capabilities, but we’ve also gained a lot of complexity when we’re trying to figure out why they aren’t doing what we want them to do.
