Chapter 22. Using Hyperlinks

Chapter 21, discussed one method of creating links between Excel documents and other documents. The method described there, sometimes called pastelinking, relies on Microsoft's object linking and embedding technology. When you paste-link a document onto an Excel worksheet, you see either that document (sometimes only a portion of it) or an icon representing the document. When changes are made to the linked document, its representation in Excel changes. When you double-click the paste-linked document (or its iconic stand-in), Excel starts the application that created the document.
