I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Storing Information with Network Shapes
Network equipment shapes have default custom properties, which you can use to store data with the shapes. These properties include manufacturer, product number, part number, product description, and serial number. You can also define new custom properties for a specific shape or for all the instances of a shape in a diagram.
To view custom property information for a shape, on the View menu, click Custom Properties Window, and then select the shape. The shape's custom properties and corresponding data appears in the Custom Properties window. Alternatively, you can rightclick a shape, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
