Navigating in OneNote

Getting from place to place in OneNote is a matter of using the Navigation bar, section tabs, and page tabs:

  • Switching between notebooks: On the Navigation bar, click a notebook’s name to switch to a different notebook. You can tell which notebook you’re currently viewing because its icon shows an open notebook.

  • Switching between sections: In the Navigation bar or section tabs, click a section name.

  • Switching to a section in a section group: In the section tabs, click the section group name to display tabs for the section group. Then click a section tab.
