It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This chapter addresses the business context behind mobile application development. We initially discuss who is going mobile and what people want to be able to do with their mobile devices. We then discuss the business reasons behind why you might want to mobilize your enterprise.
Who is Going Mobile?
The convenience and powerful functionality offered by mobile devices, such as cellular telephones, has resulted in many people already being mobilized. Two of the largest groups of people that use mobile devices are workers and consumers (see Figure 2-1). These are described in more detail below.
