If your collection and analysis environment is set up properly, you are far more likely to extract and analyze forensic data successfully. If the environment is set up improperly, however, you can be confronted with many problems throughout an examination. Perhaps, for example, the collection device or computer is different from the analysis computer, and the optimal configurations on the two may be different as well.
