Mobile Node
After looking at the Home Agent, the next best place to troubleshoot is at the Mobile Node. (The
FA is often reserved for last, because the only deterministic way to identify the active FA is to
look at the CoA that the Mobile Node is using.) Each Mobile IP client offers a different set of
tools for troubleshooting, but the basic premise is the same as those available in IOS. Follow
these troubleshooting steps:
1 Ensure that the Mobile Node has received agent advertisements from one or more FAs.
2 Determine which FA the Mobile Node has selected and whether the registrations are
