Diode-Clamped Multilevel Converter
A generalized method for the analysis of the different multilevel converters has been presented in Chapter 2. One topological derivation from this structure is the diode-clamped multilevel converter (DCMC), whose simplest version, the three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) converter, was introduced in 1981 by Nabae and coworkers [1].
