So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Proliferation of multimedia data on the web is driving the need for develop-
ing effective schemes for management of multimedia contents by exploiting
embedded semantics of the multimedia data. However, in this context, the
key challenge is that of designing an appropriate representation scheme for
multimedia knowledge so that content can be interpreted and used for a vari-
ety of information processing tasks. Ontology and ontology languages provide
a framework for semantically exploiting numeric and textual content on the
web. Multimedia ontology can enable development of a similar capability, but
