When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
1.1. Einführung
Wer kennt das nicht – man sitzt in der Bahn, im Café an der Ecke, unter Palmen am Strand, programmiert munter vor sich hin, und dann muss man diese eine SQL-Anweisung oder -Funktion verwenden. Man weiß genau, dass es sie gibt, man weiß, dass sie genau das macht, was man jetzt braucht, nur die Syntax fällt einem einfach nicht ein. Und wenn nicht zufällig doch irgendeine MySQL-Bibel in der Tasche steckt, setzt man diesen Punkt auf die TODO-Liste und macht an anderer Stelle weiter. Das Problem ist, dass man – egal wie viel Erfahrung man mit MySQL hat – nie genau weiß, wann man die Syntax einer obskuren Funktion oder einer SQL-Anweisung nachschlagen muss.
