Chapter 10

Water Content of Natural Gas

Abstract

In this chapter, methods are presented for estimating the water content of natural gas in equilibrium with water, hydrate, or ice. Methods are presented for calculating the water dew point of sweet gas and correcting for the presence of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. Methods are also presented for estimating the water content in equilibrium with solid phases: ice and hydrate. Comparisons are made with some of the available experiential data for the water for the water content of gases in equilibrium with hydrates.
