Chapter 17. Printing

This chapter describes a model for printing called the printing pipeline and presents four approaches to printing from a .NET Compact Framework program.

Adecades-old belief is that paper output will eventually be eliminated through the use of computers. Sometimes referred to as the paperless office, the idea returns whenever a new use of computers gains widespread acceptance. In the 1980s, the impetus was the rise of personal computers with word processing software.
