16 Other Transactions and Custom Transactions

NetSuite’s flexibility is well known and for good reason. When it comes to the kinds of miscellaneous transactions covered in this chapter, no two companies will use them the same way, and some company businesses are so unusual that they need custom alternatives to the standard transactions. So, in this chapter, we’ll explore some of the many other transactions available out of the box or via special configurations.

Revenue recognition, which is part of NetSuite’s Advanced Revenue Management feature set, is especially important. I’ve mentioned it a couple of times before, and we’ll dig into the topic in more depth here.
