I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
In this recipe, we outlined how we combine all the different parts that we have previously configured in order to execute our playbooks on AWX. AWX uses templates in order to create this standard execution environment, which we can use in order to run our Ansible playbooks from AWX.
We created the template with a given name, and we specified the different parameters in order to create this environment to execute our playbook, as follows:
- We provided the inventory against which we want to execute our playbooks.
- We provided all the required credentials that we need in order to execute our playbooks (this can be one or multiple credentials).
- We provided the project from which we will choose the playbook to run.
