So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In this chapter, we discuss routing in the Internet and how BGP is used to accomplish this routing. We present how IP address allocation works from various Internet registries around the world. Peering and customer-provider relationships at the autonomous systems level as well as import and export policies impact who can route via whom–these are illustrated in this chapter.
