I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Bereits Anfang der 1990er-Jahre wurde klar, dass die IPv4-Adressen nicht ewig reichen würden – genau genommen würde man ohne effektive Gegenmaßnahmen schon Mitte der 1990er-Jahre an die Grenzen von IPv4 stoßen! Als Erstes führte dies zum Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR), das mit RFC 1519 erstmalig 1993 veröffentlicht wurde. Doch auch damit ließ sich das Problem nicht lösen, sondern nur kurzfristig verschieben.
Mit NAT wurde bereits Mitte der 1990er-Jahre eine Lösung gefunden, die bis heute Bestand hat. Doch auch sie war nicht als Dauerlösung vorgesehen. Der einzige Weg, langfristig Ruhe vor der Adressen-Problematik zu erhalten, war ein größerer Adressraum. Daher wurde 1993 die Entwicklung ...
