This chapter will give you some practical experience with implementing Web 2.0 components. The terms Web 2.0 and rich Internet applications (RIAs) have been around for a while and have been interpreted many different ways. The opening statement on Wikipedia describes it well: “Web 2.0 describes web sites that use technology beyond the static pages of earlier web sites.” The Node.js-to-AngularJS stack fits well into this definition because of how easy it is to integrate services on both the server and client that interact with each other, without the need to page around in the browser.
