Options for Creating a New Presentation

PowerPoint provides different options for creating a new presentation. As already mentioned in this chapter, PowerPoint 2013 now opens a Start screen (look back at Figure 17.1) when you start the application. This screen provides different possibilities for starting a new presentation or opening an existing presentation. In previous versions of PowerPoint, a new blank presentation automatically opened in the PowerPoint workspace when you started the application.
