New Features in PowerPoint 2013
Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 builds on the changes and functional improvements that were part of the PowerPoint 2010 release. PowerPoint 2013 also provides some improvements that are certainly worth noting.
A new PowerPoint 2013 feature greets you as soon as you start the application. Instead of opening a new, blank presentation (as PowerPoint 2010 did), PowerPoint provides a new Start screen. This Start screen or Launch page gives you different possibilities for starting a new presentation or opening an existing presentation. Figure 17.1 shows the new Start screen.
