I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Deleting a flavor
Often times, requirements change; there is a demand for more performance, or business needs change. Whatever be the reason, your existing flavors may not meet the needs of those consuming cloud resources. When a given flavor is no longer suitable, it will need to be deleted.
Tip
A flavor that is associated with a running instance cannot be deleted.
Getting ready
To change attributes of a flavor for Nova, you will need the following:
- The
openstackcommand-line client - The
openrcfile containing appropriate credentials - The name of the flavor to delete
