Chapter 1. Data warehousing on System z 15
DB2 10 allows you to define additional non-key columns in a unique index. You do not
need the extra five-column index and the processing cost of maintaining that index. DB2 in
NFM includes a new INCLUDE clause on the CREATE INDEX and ALTER INDEX
statements.The INCLUDE clause is only valid for UNIQUE indexes. The extra columns
specified in the INCLUDE clause do not participate in the uniqueness constraint.
