It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

While the alter is running, you can still run your queries against the DB2 Analytics
Accelerator. You might see some response time degradation but there will no other
concurrency issues. Figure 10-18 shows query response time degradation from 62 seconds
(while running without any concurrent queries) to 152 seconds (while running concurrently
with the alter key process) for an DB2 Analytics Accelerator offloaded query.
