AD Availability domain. OCI represents a collection of resources, both virtualized and bare metal systems grouped in data centers known as availability domains (ADs).
ADB Autonomous database systems offer a hosted and managed option with an underlying Exadata service and the capability to dynamically scale up and scale down both the CPUs and storage allocated to your VM.
