Installing Oracle Database 10g is easy; installing Oracle Database 11g is even easier. In this appendix, I'll give you an overview of what you need to do before you start the installation process, including the configuration of the operating system software and server hardware. There is no "one size fits all" version of Oracle Database 11g; I'll briefly describe what options are available in each edition.
