Cloud Control Preinstallation
In Chapter 1, you learned that, unlike Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Grid Control 11g, the OEM Cloud Control 12c Installer does not require you to first install Oracle WebLogic Server, which streamlines the installation process. However, unlike Grid Control 10g, the CC 12c and GC 11g installers do not offer an option to create a database for the Management Repository; a database must be installed and configured before running the Cloud Control 12c or GC 11g installers.
